Absolutely spot on. I wrote an article, a parody piece, a few months ago and the algorithm picked it up. Boy that was a few weeks of commenters wanting to report me, complaining that they used one of their two free articles to read mine (I reminded them they had free will).

What I did learn, the dissenting voices of "This is clickbait" all had similar account traits. No articles of their own, this didn't come as a surprise, hardly any followers, once again no surprise there and a common aim of summoning the mods on Medium to have me banned because they didn't like what I'd written.

Life is too rich and too short to worry about stuff I write. But if anything I learned one thing:

Don't upset Data Scientists, they're really touchy! :)
